These terms and conditions govern your use of the Ethical Edge website and your participation in the Ethical Edge programme. By using this website or enrolling on the programme, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.
The Ethical Edge programme is operated by Social Work Projects Limited, a company registered in England and Wales. References to "we", "us", or "our" mean Social Work Projects Limited, trading as Ethical Edge.
Using this website
You may use this website for lawful purposes only. You must not use it in any way that breaches any applicable law or regulation, is fraudulent or harmful, or infringes the rights of any third party.
We reserve the right to withdraw or amend the services we provide on this website without notice. We will not be liable if, for any reason, our website is unavailable at any time.
The Ethical Edge programme
The Ethical Edge programme is a six-month professional development programme in ethical decision-making, delivered via video content on your personal portal, supported by supervisor sessions and Action Learning Sets.
Enrolment on the programme is subject to a suitability conversation and our acceptance of your application. We reserve the right to decline any application at our discretion.
Once enrolled, you will receive access to your personal portal, programme materials, and scheduled sessions with your supervisor. All sessions are delivered remotely via video call.
Fees and payment
Programme fees are set out at the time of enrolment and confirmed in your enrolment agreement. Fees are due in accordance with the payment schedule agreed at the time of enrolment.
We reserve the right to suspend access to your portal or programme sessions if payment is not received in accordance with the agreed schedule. We will notify you before taking any such action.
Cancellation and refunds
If you wish to withdraw from the programme after enrolment, please notify us in writing as soon as possible. Our cancellation and refund policy is as follows:
- Cancellation before programme commencement: a full refund will be issued, less any administration fee specified in your enrolment agreement.
- Cancellation within the first 14 days of programme commencement: a pro-rata refund may be considered at our discretion.
- Cancellation after 14 days of programme commencement: no refund will be issued, though we will work with you to find a reasonable resolution where circumstances warrant it.
We reserve the right to cancel or suspend the programme in exceptional circumstances. In the event of cancellation by us, we will offer a full refund of any fees paid for undelivered services.
Your portal and programme materials
Access to your personal portal is provided for the duration of the programme and for a reasonable period following its completion. We reserve the right to withdraw portal access following the end of the programme period.
All programme materials — including video content, written materials, and resources — are the intellectual property of Social Work Projects Limited and are provided for your personal use only. You must not reproduce, distribute, or share programme materials without our written permission.
Your reflective exercises completed on the portal remain private. They are not shared with any third party without your explicit consent.
Assessment and qualification
The Ethical Edge Practitioner qualification is awarded upon successful completion of the programme's final assessment, marked centrally against a defined standard. We do not guarantee that all participants will achieve the qualification.
Assessment decisions are final, subject to any formal appeals process we may operate. Details of the appeals process will be provided to participants on request.
Conduct
We expect all participants to engage with the programme respectfully and in good faith. We reserve the right to remove any participant from the programme without refund if their conduct is deemed inappropriate, disruptive, or harmful to others — including during Action Learning Sets and supervisor sessions.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Social Work Projects Limited shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental loss arising from your use of this website or participation in the programme.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by English law.
Intellectual property
All content on this website — including text, design, graphics, and the Ethical Edge logo — is the property of Social Work Projects Limited or its licensors. You may not reproduce or use any content from this website without our prior written consent.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of this website shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Your continued use of this website or the programme following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
